The core structure consists of a frame housing a permanent or electromagnetic unit, equipped with either two or four pulleys, and features a self-cleaning rubber belt.

As materials move underneath the Overband Magnet, it actively attracts, lifts, and subsequently eliminates disruptive tramp ferrous metal.

The selection of the appropriate magnet system, whether permanent or electromagnetic, is contingent upon the conveyor’s width, material depth, and the specific properties of the tramp ferrous metal. Overband Magnets can be positioned either across the conveyor belt (Crossbelt) or aligned with the conveyor belt over the head pulley (Incline), offering versatility in recycling applications.
