Engineered to operate on conveyor belts with widths of up to 1200mm, the overband magnet is meticulously designed to autonomously lift and remove ferrous metals from materials in transit.

The primary structure features a permanent or electromagnetic unit enclosed within a framework fitted with two or four pulleys and a self-cleaning rubber belt.

As materials pass beneath the Overband Magnet, it actively attracts, elevates, and subsequently eliminates disruptive tramp ferrous metals.

The choice of the appropriate magnet system, whether permanent or electromagnetic, is influenced by various factors, including the conveyor’s width, material depth, and the characteristics of the tramp ferrous metal. Overband Magnets can be positioned either across the conveyor belt (Crossbelt) or aligned with the conveyor belt over the head pulley (Incline), ensuring versatility for applications in the aggregates sector.
