The Coveya standard overband magnet generates over 400 Gauss when used at the recommended operating gap of 250mm.

It is suitable for belt widths of up to 1200mm and wider. This magnet is available for prompt rental or purchase.

The fundamental design comprises a permanent or electromagnetic unit installed within a frame with either two or four pulleys, along with a self-cleaning rubber belt. Material passes beneath the Overband Magnet, which attracts, lifts, and subsequently removes disruptive tramp ferrous metal. The choice of magnet system (permanent or electro) depends on the conveyor’s width and the depth of material it handles, as well as the nature of the tramp ferrous metal. Overband Magnets can be mounted either across the conveyor belt (Crossbelt) or in line with the conveyor belt over the head pulley (Incline).
